Electronic Repair
Tim McCarvell has over 30 years of experience in electronic repairs. He operated his own business, Scope Electronics, for 20 years before joining Advance Music in 2000. Tim brings a wealth of knowledge in everything from vintage tube amplification, digital keyboards, speaker repair and reconing, mixers, and much more. Tim is an authorized repair center for many of the brands we carry, and we are continually updating that list. He has developed excellent relationships with the parts departments at our vendors, as well as most of the major parts suppliers in the world.
it's all about the music
Advance Music has a $30.00 bench fee for all repairs, and our labor rate is $60.00 an hour. The bench fee generally covers the cost of diagnosing the problem and is applied to the total repair cost. The fee is non refundable should you choose not to repair the item. Turn around time for repairs is dependant on parts availability, and we strive to turn your repair around as quick as possible. If you purchased the gear from us originally, we will do our best to provide a loaner, when applicable, to get you through an event, gig, or show. We offer rentals as well, should you have purchased the gear elsewhere.
